INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH INTERNSHIPS

In collaboration with their faculty advisers, students may submit a proposal to participate in an international internship. SEAGEP partners with the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions, and many other International collaborations are available.

Undergraduate Opportunities

PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERISTY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS

Students at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) have the opportunity to earn a B.S. in applied mathematics and  a bachelor of science in an engineering field through the UVI dual-degree engineering program. Participants spend approximately three years at UVI and complete the degree at a participating institution ( Columbia University, Washington University, University of Florida, University of South Carolina). SEAGEP also offers an exceptional 7-week residential research experience for undergraduates (REU) program for science and engineering students at UVI. REU students are placed in research labs and work alongside faculty and graduate students on a project related to their career goals.

AMP MEETINGS & ACTIVITIES

The secondary partners prepare students with the academic rigor and skills necessary for success in their chosen program. Activities include undergraduate research, graduate school preparation workshops and seminars, graduate school visits, maintaining a student portfolio, taking the GRE, attending a "Transitioning to Graduate School" workshop, and applying to graduate school. See your local AMP administrator for more details.
